Incorporate with the Aims and Objectives, the Kalita Janagosthi Sanmilan, Assam has taken up the following steps:
(1) In matters of education, the organization will keep an eye so that our students are not deprived of acquiring proper education.
(2) As regards employment, the organization will take necessary steps in consultation with the government so that the educated unemployed will get employment opportunity. In the case of self employment, the organization will help in getting loan with subsidy in consultation with the Government.
(3) The organization will take necessary steps for Preservation, Promotion and Development of the Cultural Heritage.
(4) The organization will take necessary steps for rehabilitation of the landless people of the community in consultation with the Government.
(5) The organization will keep direct touch with the Kalita farmers for providing information about the benefits of the government schemes for the development of agriculture and sub-sidary sectors.
(6) The organization will see to it that the Kalita Community have an honorable existence and status in all respects in Assam and India.
(7) In getting the ambition fulfilled, the organization will take all democratic steps under the purview of the Constitution of India.
(8) The organization will take steps for holding a Socio-Economic census of its own to find out the actual population of the Community and Economic Condition of the people and to find out the villages, Towns and City of Assam where Kalita people are living.
(9) The organization will also take steps to make contact with the Kalita people living in other parts of India and abroad for strengthening the organization.
(10) The organization has constituted a Committee named “History Research Committee”. The Committee will do research work about the historical origin, development and status of the Community.
(11) The organization has also constituted an “Intellectual Committee” for –
(a) Inspiring the youth of the Community for their self-development and for the promotion and propagation of the `organizational activities.
(b) Providing necessary information regarding higher education, employment, self-employment and all round development of the youth.
(c) Restoring the original folk-culture and literature proverbially in vogue.
(12) A “Youth Committee” is also constituted for augmenting the activities of the organization.
(13) A “Women’s Organization” is also constituted with a view to create awareness about the Social, Cultural, Economic problems of the Community and their involvement in solving the problems.
(14) In order to get our demands fulfilled a “Joint Movement Committee” is also constituted. The Committee will carry out all democratic movements as per the decision of the Central Executive Committee of the Organization.
(15) A Community Trust Board will also be constituted with an estimated capital of Rupees 20 cores with a view to give financial help to the needy persons, specially the students for carrying out their education. The formation of capital of the Trust will be exclusively by the donors.
(16) The organization has also constituted an Educational Committee. The committee will deal with regarding educational matters.
